أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ حَيَّةٌ فَيَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى الْعَوَالِي فَيَأْتِي الْعَوَالِي وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ»
English Translation
Anas narrated: 'The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Asr while the sun was high and clear, so someone would go to al-Awali and reach al-Awali while the sun was still high.'
