أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو النَّجَاشِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ يَقُولُ «كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ تُنْحَرُ الْجَزُورُ فَتُقْسَمُ عَشْرَ قِسَمٍ ثُمَّ تُطْبَخُ فَنَأْكُلُ لَحْمًا نَضِيجًا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ وَكُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيَنْصَرِفُ أَحَدُنَا وَإِنَّهُ لَيَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَوْقِعِ نَبْلِهِ»
English Translation
Rafi' bin Khadij narrated: 'We used to pray Asr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then a camel would be slaughtered and divided into ten portions, then cooked, and we would eat cooked meat before the sun set. We used to pray Maghrib in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and one of us would finish and he could still see where his arrow landed.'
