Arabic (Original)
قَالَ جَابِرٌ رضي الله عنه:(كُنَّا إِذَا صَعَدْنَا كَبَّرْنَا، وَإِذَا نَزَلْنَا سَبَّحْنَا)
English Translation
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When we would ascend (a hill), we would say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest), and when we would descend, we would say 'SubhanAllah' (Glory be to Allah)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب ہم اونچی جگہ پر چڑھتے تو«الله أَكْبَرُ»کہتے اور جب نیچے اترتے تو«سُبْحَان الله»کہتے۔[صحيح بخاري: 2993، 2994][مختصر حصن المسلم/ابواب/حدیث: 225]
