Hadrat Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman and Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Allah shall gather the people, and the believers shall stand when Paradise is brought near. They shall go to Adam (upon him be blessings and peace) and say, 'O our father, open Paradise for us.' He shall say, 'Was it not the sin of your father Adam that expelled you from Paradise? I am not the one for that. Go to Ibrahim, the Intimate Friend of Allah.' They shall go to Ibrahim, and he shall say, 'I am not the one for that — I was an intimate friend from afar, far away. Go to the Prophet Musa, to whom Allah spoke directly.' They shall go to Musa, and he shall say, 'I am not the one for that. Go to the Word of Allah and His Spirit — 'Isa.' 'Isa shall say, 'I am not the one for that.' So they shall go to Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and he shall stand and be granted permission. Trust and kinship shall be sent with him, and they shall stand on both sides of the Sirat — on his right and his left. The first of you shall pass like the passing of lightning." I submitted, "May my father and mother be your ransom — what is the passing of lightning?" He stated: "Have you not seen how lightning flashes and returns in the blink of an eye? Then like the passing of wind, the passing of birds, and the speed of riding mounts — their deeds shall carry them. Your Prophet shall be standing upon the Sirat saying, 'O Lord, grant safety, grant safety!' — until the deeds of people fall short, until a man comes who cannot pass except by crawling." He stated: "On both edges of the Sirat there shall be hooks, suspended and commanded — they shall seize whoever they are ordered to seize: some scratched but saved, and some thrown headlong into the Fire. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Abu Hurayrah, verily the bottom of Hell is a fall of seventy autumns." This hadith is authentic upon the condition of al-Bukhari and Muslim, though neither of them recorded it. Upon the condition of al-Bukhari and Muslim.

حضرت حذیفہ بن الیمان اور حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں کو جمع کرے گا اور مومنین کھڑے ہوں گے جب جنت قریب لائی جائے گی۔ وہ حضرت آدم علیہ الصلوٰۃ والسلام کے پاس آئیں گے اور کہیں گے: اے ہمارے باپ! ہمارے لیے جنت کا دروازہ کھول دو۔ وہ فرمائیں گے: کیا تمہارے باپ آدم کے گناہ نے ہی تمہیں جنت سے نہیں نکالا؟ مَیں اس کا آدمی نہیں ہوں — ابراہیم خلیل اللہ کے پاس جاؤ۔ وہ ابراہیم کے پاس آئیں گے تو ابراہیم فرمائیں گے: مَیں اس کا آدمی نہیں ہوں — مَیں تو دور سے خلیل تھا — نبی موسیٰ کے پاس جاؤ جن سے اللہ نے سچ مچ کلام کیا۔ وہ موسیٰ کے پاس آئیں گے تو وہ فرمائیں گے: مَیں اس کا آدمی نہیں — اللہ کے کلمہ اور اس کی روح عیسیٰ کے پاس جاؤ۔ عیسیٰ فرمائیں گے: مَیں اس کا آدمی نہیں۔ پھر وہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آئیں گے، آپ کھڑے ہوں گے اور آپ کو اجازت دی جائے گی۔ امانت اور رحم آپ کے ساتھ بھیجے جائیں گے اور صراط کے دائیں اور بائیں کھڑے ہوں گے۔ تم میں سے پہلا بجلی کی طرح گزرے گا۔ میں نے عرض کیا: میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان! بجلی کا گزرنا کیا ہے؟ فرمایا: کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا بجلی کیسے چمکتی ہے اور آنکھ جھپکنے میں لوٹ جاتی ہے؟ پھر ہوا کی طرح، پرندوں کی طرح، اور سواریوں کی رفتار کی طرح — ان کے اعمال انہیں لے جائیں گے۔ تمہارے نبی صراط پر کھڑے ہوں گے: رب! سلامت رکھ، سلامت رکھ! یہاں تک کہ لوگوں کے اعمال کمزور پڑ جائیں گے یہاں تک کہ ایک شخص آئے گا جو صرف گھسٹ کر گزر سکے گا۔ اور صراط کے دونوں کناروں پر ہُکس لٹکے ہوں گے جو حکم کے پابند ہوں گے — جسے حکم ہوگا اسے پکڑیں گے — کوئی خراشیں کھا کر بچ جائے گا اور کوئی جہنم کی آگ میں گر جائے گا۔ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں ابوہریرہ کی جان ہے! بے شک جہنم کی تہ ستر سال کی گرائی ہے۔" یہ حدیث بخاری و مسلم کی شرط پر صحیح ہے لیکن دونوں نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا۔
