حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ثنا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ يُنَادِي فِي النَّاسِ أَنْ لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِقِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَمَا زَادَ» «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ لَا غُبَارَ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ الْعَبْدِيَّ مِنْ ثِقَاتِ الْبَصْرِيِّينَ وَيَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ لَا يُحَدِّثُ إِلَّا عَنِ الثِّقَاتِ» وَقَدْ صَحَّتِ الرِّوَايَةُ عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَأَنَّهُمَا كَانَا «يَأْمُرَانِ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ» صحيح لا غبار عليه وجعفر ثقة
English Translation
Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Ishaq al-Faqih narrated to us — Ahmad ibn Salamah narrated to us — 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Bishr al-'Abdi narrated to us — Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us — Ja'far ibn Maymun narrated to us — Abu 'Uthman al-Nahdi narrated to us — from Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) — that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded him to go out and call among the people: 'There is no prayer except with the recitation of Surah al-Fatihah and whatever is added to it.' This is an authentic hadith beyond any doubt, for Ja'far ibn Maymun al-'Abdi is among the trustworthy narrators of Basrah, and Yahya ibn Sa'id does not narrate except from trustworthy narrators. The narration is also authentically established from the Commander of the Faithful 'Umar ibn al-Khattab and 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that they used to command the recitation behind the imam.
Urdu Translation
ابو بکر احمد بن اسحاق الفقیہ نے ہم سے بیان کیا — احمد بن سلمہ نے ہم سے بیان کیا — عبد الرحمٰن بن بشر العبدی نے ہم سے بیان کیا — یحییٰ بن سعید القطان نے ہم سے بیان کیا — جعفر بن میمون نے ہم سے بیان کیا — ابو عثمان النہدی نے ہم سے بیان کیا — حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں حکم فرمایا کہ نکلیں اور لوگوں میں اعلان کریں: 'سورۃ الفاتحہ اور اس کے علاوہ جو بڑھایا جائے اس کے بغیر کوئی نماز نہیں۔' یہ حدیث صحیح ہے جس میں کوئی شبہ نہیں، کیونکہ جعفر بن میمون العبدی بصرہ کے ثقات میں سے ہیں اور یحییٰ بن سعید صرف ثقات سے روایت کرتے ہیں۔ امیر المؤمنین حضرت عمر بن الخطاب اور حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم سے بھی یہی ثابت ہے کہ وہ دونوں امام کے پیچھے قراءت کا حکم فرماتے تھے۔
