حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ الْقَاضِي بِمِصْرَ ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْقَاضِي ثَنَا عَوْفُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجَمَلِ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ آتِيَهُمْ أُقَاتِلُ مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى ذَكَرْتُ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ كِسْرَى أَوْ بَعْضَ مُلُوكِ الْأَعَاجِمِ مَاتَ فَوَلَّوْا أَمَرَهُمُ امْرَأَةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ تَمْلِكُهُمُ امْرَأَةٌ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Bakrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: When the Day of the Camel occurred, I intended to go and fight with them, until I remembered a hadith I heard from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): It had reached him that Khosrow — or one of the kings of the non-Arabs — had died, and they placed a woman in charge of their affairs. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then stated: "A people who entrust their affairs to a woman shall never prosper." This is a hadith whose chain of transmission is authentic, though they did not record it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو بکرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: جب جنگِ جمل ہوئی تو میں نے ارادہ کیا کہ جاؤں اور ان کے ساتھ لڑوں، یہاں تک کہ مجھے ایک حدیث یاد آئی جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سنی تھی: آپ کو خبر ملی کہ کسریٰ — یا عجمیوں کے بعض بادشاہوں — کا انتقال ہوا اور انہوں نے اپنا معاملہ ایک عورت کے سپرد کر دیا۔ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «وہ قوم کبھی فلاح نہیں پائے گی جو اپنا معاملہ کسی عورت کے سپرد کرے۔» یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے مگر انہوں نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔
