Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated from his grandfather that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "In Dhul-Qa'dah the tribes shall contend and betray one another, and the pilgrims shall be plundered. There shall be a battle in Mina in which there shall be much killing and blood shall flow until it runs down the slope of the Jamrah. Their leader shall flee and come between the Rukn (Corner of the Ka'bah) and the Maqam (Station of Ibrahim), and he shall be given the oath of allegiance unwillingly. It shall be said to him: 'If you refuse, we shall strike your neck.' The number pledging allegiance to him shall be like the number of the people of Badr. The inhabitants of heaven and the inhabitants of earth shall be pleased with him." Abu Yusuf said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to me from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: "The people shall perform Hajj together and stand at Arafah together without a leader. While they are encamped at Mina, something like madness shall seize them, and the tribes shall turn against one another, fighting until blood flows down the slope. They shall turn to the best among them and come to him while he is pressing his face against the Ka'bah, weeping — as if I can see his tears — and they shall say: 'Come, let us pledge allegiance to you.' He shall say: 'Woe to you! How many covenants have you broken, and how much blood have you spilled!' So he shall be pledged allegiance to reluctantly. If you encounter him, then pledge allegiance to him, for he is the Mahdi on earth and the Mahdi in heaven."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے اپنے دادا سے روایت کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «ذی القعدہ میں قبائل ایک دوسرے سے جھگڑیں گے اور دغا کریں گے، حجاج لوٹے جائیں گے۔ منیٰ میں ایک جنگ ہوگی جس میں بہت قتل ہوگا اور خون بہے گا یہاں تک کہ جمرۃ العقبہ پر خون بہے گا۔ ان کا سردار بھاگے گا اور رکن اور مقام کے درمیان آئے گا، اسے مجبوراً بیعت دی جائے گی۔ اسے کہا جائے گا: اگر انکار کیا تو تیری گردن مار دیں گے۔ اسے اہل بدر کی تعداد کے برابر لوگ بیعت کریں گے۔ آسمان والے اور زمین والے اس سے راضی ہوں گے۔» ابو یوسف نے کہا: مجھے محمد بن عبد اللہ نے عمرو بن شعیب سے، ان کے والد سے، عبد اللہ بن عمرو سے بیان کیا کہ فرمایا: لوگ اکٹھے حج کریں گے اور بغیر امام کے عرفات میں کھڑے ہوں گے۔ جب وہ منیٰ میں اترے ہوں گے تو ان پر دیوانگی جیسی چیز چھا جائے گی اور قبائل ایک دوسرے پر ٹوٹ پڑیں گے اور لڑیں گے یہاں تک کہ عقبہ خون سے بہے۔ وہ اپنے بہترین شخص کی طرف لپکیں گے اور اس کے پاس آئیں گے جبکہ وہ کعبہ سے اپنا چہرہ لگائے روتا ہوگا — گویا میں اس کے آنسو دیکھ رہا ہوں — وہ کہیں گے: آؤ ہم تمہاری بیعت کرتے ہیں۔ وہ کہے گا: تم پر افسوس! کتنے عہد توڑ چکے ہو اور کتنا خون بہا چکے ہو! تو اسے مجبوراً بیعت دی جائے گی۔ اگر تم اسے پاؤ تو اس کی بیعت کرو کیونکہ وہ زمین میں بھی مہدی ہے اور آسمان میں بھی۔
