Hadrat Thawban (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that he heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: "Indeed my Lord folded the earth for me until I saw its easts and its wests, and He gave me the two treasures — the red and the white. My Ummah's dominion will reach what was folded for me of it. And I asked my Lord for my Ummah that He not destroy it with a general famine, and He granted me that. I asked Him not to give an external enemy power over them, and He granted me that. And I asked Him not to let them taste the violence of each other, but He refused me that and said: 'O Muhammad, when I decree something it is not reversed. I have granted your Ummah that I will not destroy them with a general famine, and I will not give an external enemy power over them who would annihilate them completely, even if all the people from its regions gathered — until some of them destroy others and some of them take others captive. I only fear for my Ummah the misguiding leaders. The Hour will not be established until tribes from my Ummah join the polytheists and until tribes from my Ummah worship idols. When the sword is placed among my Ummah, it will not be lifted from them until the Day of Resurrection.' He also stated: 'Everything that is found within a hundred years...' And he said: 'Thirty liars will emerge from my Ummah, each claiming to be a prophet, while I am the Seal of the Prophets — there is no prophet after me. But there will always remain a group in my Ummah fighting upon the truth, prevailing, unharmed by those who forsake them, until Allah's command comes.'" He also said: "No person in Paradise plucks anything from its fruits except that Allah replaces it with something similar." And he stated: "There is no dinar a man spends that is greater in reward than a dinar he spends on his family, then a dinar he spends on his horse in the way of Allah, then a dinar he spends on his companions in the way of Allah." He also mentioned that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) emphasized the gravity of begging, and that on the Day of Resurrection, the people of the pre-Islamic era will come carrying their idols on their backs. Their Lord Most Glorious and Majestic will ask them: "What did you used to worship?" They will say: "Our Lord, You did not send us a messenger and no command came to us. Had You sent us a messenger, we would have been Your most obedient servants." Their Lord will say: "Do you see if I command you with something, will you obey Me?" They will say: "Yes." He will take their covenants on that, then command them to proceed to Hell and enter it. They will set out, but when they reach it and see its fury and blazing, they will be terrified and return to their Lord and say: "Our Lord, we are frightened of it." He will say: "Did you not give Me your covenants that you would obey Me? Proceed to it and enter it." They will set out again, but when they see it they will be frightened and return, saying: "Our Lord, we cannot enter it." He will say: "Enter it humiliated." The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Had they entered it the first time, it would have been cool and peaceful for them."

حضرت ثوبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: "بے شک میرے رب نے میرے لیے زمین سمیٹ دی یہاں تک کہ میں نے اُس کے مشرق اور مغرب دیکھے، اور مجھے دو خزانے عطا کیے — سرخ اور سفید۔ میری اُمّت کی سلطنت وہاں تک پہنچے گی جہاں تک زمین میرے لیے سمیٹی گئی۔ میں نے اپنے رب سے اپنی اُمّت کے لیے دعا کی کہ اسے عام قحط سے ہلاک نہ کرے تو یہ عطا کر دیا۔ میں نے دعا کی کہ اُن پر باہر سے کوئی دشمن مسلط نہ کرے تو یہ بھی عطا کر دیا۔ اور میں نے دعا کی کہ اُنہیں ایک دوسرے کی سختی نہ چکھائے تو یہ منع کر دیا اور فرمایا: اے محمد! جب میں کوئی فیصلہ کرتا ہوں تو اسے لوٹایا نہیں جا سکتا۔ میں نے تیری اُمّت کو عطا کیا ہے کہ اسے عام قحط سے ہلاک نہ کروں گا اور اُن پر باہر سے کوئی دشمن غالب نہ کروں گا جو اُنہیں عمومی طور پر فنا کر دے، چاہے اُس کے اطراف کے سب لوگ جمع ہو جائیں — یہاں تک کہ اُن میں سے بعض بعض کو ہلاک کریں گے اور بعض بعض کو قیدی بنائیں گے۔ مجھے اپنی اُمّت پر صرف گمراہ کرنے والے حکمرانوں کا خوف ہے۔ قیامت قائم نہیں ہوگی یہاں تک کہ میری اُمّت کے کچھ قبائل مشرکوں سے جا ملیں اور میری اُمّت کے کچھ قبائل بتوں کی عبادت کرنے لگیں۔ جب میری اُمّت میں تلوار رکھ دی جائے گی تو قیامت تک نہیں اُٹھائی جائے گی۔" آپ نے یہ بھی فرمایا: "ہر سو سال میں جو پایا جائے... اور میری اُمّت میں تیس جھوٹے نکلیں گے، ہر ایک دعویٰ کرے گا کہ وہ نبی ہے، حالانکہ میں خاتم الانبیاء ہوں، میرے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں۔ لیکن میری اُمّت میں ہمیشہ ایک گروہ رہے گا جو حق پر لڑتے رہیں گے، غالب رہیں گے، جو انہیں چھوڑے اُن کا اُنہیں نقصان نہ ہوگا، یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا حکم آ جائے۔" آپ نے فرمایا: "جنت میں سے کوئی شخص کوئی پھل نہیں توڑتا مگر اللہ اُس کی جگہ ویسا ہی پھل پیدا فرماتا ہے۔" اور فرمایا: "کوئی دینار ایسا نہیں جو آدمی خرچ کرے اور اُس کا ثواب اُس دینار سے زیادہ ہو جو وہ اپنے اہل و عیال پر خرچ کرے، پھر جو اپنے گھوڑے پر اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرے، پھر جو اپنے ساتھیوں پر اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرے۔" آپ نے سوال کی شناعت بھی بیان فرمائی اور فرمایا کہ قیامت کے دن جاہلیت والے اپنے بتوں کو پیٹھ پر اُٹھائے آئیں گے۔ اُن کا رب عزّ وجل پوچھے گا: تم کس کی عبادت کرتے تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے: ہمارے رب! تو نے ہماری طرف کوئی رسول نہیں بھیجا اور ہمارے پاس کوئی حکم نہیں آیا، اگر تو نے رسول بھیجا ہوتا تو ہم تیرے سب سے فرمانبردار بندے ہوتے۔ اُن کا رب فرمائے گا: اگر میں تمہیں حکم دوں تو اطاعت کرو گے؟ وہ کہیں گے: ہاں۔ اُن سے عہد لیا جائے گا پھر حکم دیا جائے گا کہ جہنم میں داخل ہو جاؤ۔ وہ چلیں گے، جب قریب جائیں گے اور اُس کا غصہ اور آواز دیکھیں گے تو ڈر کر واپس آئیں گے اور کہیں گے: ربّنا! ہم اُس سے ڈر گئے۔ فرمائے گا: کیا تم نے عہد نہیں دیا تھا؟ جاؤ اور داخل ہو جاؤ۔ وہ پھر جائیں گے، دیکھیں گے تو ڈر کر واپس آئیں گے اور کہیں گے: ربّنا! ہم اُس میں داخل نہیں ہو سکتے۔ فرمائے گا: ذلیل ہو کر داخل ہو جاؤ۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اگر وہ پہلی بار داخل ہو جاتے تو وہ اُن کے لیے ٹھنڈی اور سلامتی ہوتی۔"
