أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا الْقُرْآنَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ فَأَرْسَلَهُ مَعَهُمْ وَقَالَ «هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِذِكْرِ الْقُرْآنِ على شرط مسلم
English Translation
Narrated from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the people of Yemen came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: "Send with us a man who will teach us." The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took the hand of Hadrat Abu Ubaydah (may Allah be well pleased with him) and said: "This is the trustee of this nation."
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ اہل یمن حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آئے اور عرض کیا: ہمارے ساتھ ایک شخص بھیجیں جو ہمیں سکھائے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت ابو عبیدہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا ہاتھ پکڑا اور ارشاد فرمایا: یہ اس امت کا امین ہے۔
