أَخْبَرْنَاهُ عَبْدَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ ابْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ إِلَّا فِي أَخْلَاقِ النَّاسِ {خُذِ الْعَفْوَ} [الأعراف 199] وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ «» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَقَدْ قِيلَ فِي هَذَا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَلَيْسَ مِنْ شَرَطِهِ
English Translation
Abd'an ibn Yazid al-Daqqaq informed us... from Hadrat Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who said: Allah did not reveal this verse except concerning the characters of people: {Take what is given freely, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant} [al-A'raf 7:199]. This hadith is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs. It has also been attributed to Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, but that does not meet the conditions.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، فرمایا: اللہ نے یہ آیت صرف لوگوں کے اخلاق کے بارے میں نازل فرمائی ہے: {آسانی اختیار کرو، نیکی کا حکم دو اور جاہلوں سے اعراض کرو} [الاعراف: 199]۔ یہ حدیث شیخین کی شرط پر صحیح ہے۔ یہ عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص سے بھی منسوب ہے مگر وہ شرط پر نہیں ہے۔
