أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مَيْمُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَاذَانَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ «خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي جَنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْقَبْرِ وَلَمَّا يُلْحَدْ فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَجَلَسْنَا حَوْلَهُ كَأَنَّ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا الطَّيْرُ» وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَدْ ثَبَتَ صِحَّةُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فِي كِتَابِ الْإِيمَانِ وَأَنَّهُمَا لَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan Maymun ibn Ishaq al-Hashimi informed us in Baghdad... from Hadrat al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: "We went out with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) for the funeral of a man from the Ansar. We reached the grave while it had not yet been dug into a niche. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sat down and we sat around him as though birds were perched on our heads." And he mentioned the hadith. The authenticity of this hadith has been established in the Book of Faith, and they (the two Shaykhs) did not include it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت براء بن عازب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ہم حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک انصاری شخص کے جنازے میں نکلے۔ ہم قبر تک پہنچے اور ابھی لحد نہیں بنائی گئی تھی۔ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف فرما ہوئے اور ہم آپ کے گرد بیٹھ گئے، گویا ہمارے سروں پر پرندے بیٹھے ہیں۔ پھر حدیث بیان کی۔ اس حدیث کی صحت کتاب الایمان میں ثابت ہو چکی ہے اور شیخین نے اسے تخریج نہیں کیا۔
