حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى الْحِيرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كُلُّ مَيِّتٍ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ إِلَّا الْمُرَابِطَ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْمُو لَهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُؤَمَّنُ مِنْ فَتَّانِ الْقَبْرِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط مسلم
English Translation
Hadrat Fadala ibn 'Ubayd (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'The deeds of every deceased person are sealed [at death], except for the one stationed at the frontier [in guard duty], for his deeds continue to grow for him until the Day of Resurrection, and he is secured from the trial of the grave.' This hadith is sound meeting the criteria of Muslim, and they did not record it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت فضالہ بن عبید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «ہر مرنے والے کے اعمال مُہر لگا دیے جاتے ہیں سوائے سرحد پر پہرہ دار کے، کیونکہ اُس کے اعمال قیامت تک بڑھتے رہتے ہیں اور وہ قبر کے فتنے سے محفوظ کر دیا جاتا ہے۔» یہ حدیث صحیح ہے مسلم کی شرط پر اور اُنہوں نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔
