حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أَنْبَأَ يَحْيَى بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُسَافِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ بَرِيدًا إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'A woman should not travel the distance of a barid (postal station) except with a mahram.' This is an authentic hadith according to the conditions of Muslim, though neither of them narrated it with this wording.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ سرکارِ دو عالم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: عورت ایک بریدکی مسافت بھی محرم کے بغیر سفر نہ کرے۔ یہ حدیث مسلم کی شرط پر صحیح ہے مگر دونوں نے اسے اس لفظ سے روایت نہیں کیا۔
