English Translation

Sa'id ibn Jubayr said: Ibn Abbas was approached by a man who said: 'O Ibn Abbas, I have set it upon myself to fast every day and recite the entire Quran each night.' Ibn Abbas said: 'If I knew that you are truthful, I would throw pebbles at your face.' He said this three times. Then he said: 'Recite the Quran in a month. Recite it in a moderate pace with reflection.''
