Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ ، قَالَ :" كَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَنْزِلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالسُّنَّةِ كَمَا يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْقُرْآنِ "
English Translation
Hassan (ibn Atiyyah) stated: "Jibril (Gabriel) used to descend upon the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) with the Sunnah just as he would descend upon him with the Quran."
Urdu Translation
حسان (بن عطیہ) نے فرمایا: "جبریل علیہ السلام نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر سنت لے کر اسی طرح نازل ہوتے تھے جیسے قرآن لے کر نازل ہوتے تھے۔"
