حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ عِنَانٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ : أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يَقُولُ :" إِنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَيَتَّسِعُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْضُرُهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَتَهْجُرُهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ، وَيَكْثُرُ خَيْرُهُ أَنْ يُقْرَأَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ، وَإِنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَيَضِيقُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَتَهْجُرُهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ، وَتَحْضُرُهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ، وَيَقِلُّ خَيْرُهُ، أَنْ لَا يُقْرَأَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ "
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) used to say: "Indeed, the house becomes spacious for its inhabitants, the angels attend it, the devils abandon it, and its good increases when the Quran is recited in it. And indeed, the house becomes cramped for its inhabitants, the angels abandon it, the devils attend it, and its good decreases when the Quran is not recited in it."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرمایا کرتے تھے: "بے شک گھر اپنے رہنے والوں پر کشادہ ہو جاتا ہے، فرشتے اس میں آتے ہیں، شیاطین چھوڑ دیتے ہیں اور اس کی خیر بڑھ جاتی ہے جب اس میں قرآن پڑھا جائے۔ اور بے شک گھر تنگ ہو جاتا ہے، فرشتے چھوڑ دیتے ہیں، شیاطین آتے ہیں اور اس کی خیر کم ہو جاتی ہے جب اس میں قرآن نہ پڑھا جائے۔"
