حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ هُوَ : ابْنُ بِشْرٍ الْأَحْمَسِيُّ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" يَذْهَبُ الصَّالِحُونَ أَسْلَافًا وَيَبْقَى حُثَالَةٌ كَحُثَالَةِ الشَّعِيرِ "
English Translation
Hadrat Mirdas al-Aslami (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'The righteous will depart one after another (through death), and there will remain the dregs like the dregs of barley (or dates) — Allah will have no regard for them.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت مرداس اسلمی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'نیک لوگ ایک کے بعد ایک (موت سے) چلے جائیں گے اور جَو (یا کھجور) کے چھلکوں جیسے ردی لوگ باقی رہ جائیں گے — اللہ کو ان کی کوئی پرواہ نہیں ہوگی۔'
