أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ الصَّائِدِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْنَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ، وَأَنْ لَا نُضَحِّيَ بِمُقَابَلَةٍ وَلَا مُدَابَرَةٍ وَلَا خَرْقَاءَ، وَلَا شَرْقَاءَ، فَالْمُقَابَلَةُ : مَا قُطِعَ طَرَفُ أُذُنِهَا، وَالْمُدَابَرَةُ : مَا قُطِعَ مِنْ جَانِبِ الْأُذُنِ، وَالْخَرْقَاءُ : الْمَثْقُوبَةُ، وَالشَّرْقَاءُ : الْمَشْقُوقَةُ "
English Translation
Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: 'The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded us to inspect the eyes and ears carefully, and not to sacrifice an animal whose ear-tip is cut from the front, nor from the back, nor one with a hole in the ear, nor one with a slit ear.' The Muqabalah is one whose ear-tip is cut from the front; Mudabarah is one cut from the side of the ear; Kharqa is one with a hole; and Sharqa is one with a slit.
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: 'رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں حکم فرمایا کہ آنکھ اور کان کو اچھی طرح دیکھیں اور مقابلہ، مدابرہ، خرقاء اور شرقاء کی قربانی نہ کریں۔' مقابلہ وہ ہے جس کے کان کا اگلا حصہ کٹا ہو، مدابرہ وہ جس کے کان کا پچھلا حصہ کٹا ہو، خرقاء وہ جس کے کان میں سوراخ ہو، اور شرقاء وہ جس کا کان چیرا ہوا ہو۔
