Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْـ ; 1 { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: " اَللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ اَلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ. قَالَ فِي اَلثَّالِثَةِ: " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 2 .1 - والزيادة سقطت من " أ ".2 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1727 )، ومسلم ( 1301 ).
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:“May Allah bless those who shaved." The Companions asked him, ‘O Allah’s Messenger, what about those who cut their hair short?’ They repeated their question twice (and each time he repeated his saying, ‘May Allah bless those who shaved.’) On the third time, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then said, “And (may Allah bless) those who cut their hair short." Agreed upon.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اے اللہ! سر منڈوانے والوں پر رحم فرما۔ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اور بال کتروانے والوں پر بھی؟ فرمایا: اے اللہ! سر منڈوانے والوں پر رحم فرما۔ عرض کیا: اور کتروانے والوں پر؟ فرمایا: اور کتروانے والوں پر بھی۔ (متفق علیہ)
