Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ اَلْأَنْصَارِيِّ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ, ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ كَانَ كَصِيَامِ اَلدَّهْرِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1164 ).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:"Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal will be (rewarded) as if he had fasted the entire year." Related by Muslim.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوایوب انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جس نے رمضان کے روزے رکھے پھر اس کے بعد شوال کے چھ روزے رکھے تو یہ ایسا ہے جیسے ہمیشہ (سال بھر) روزہ رکھا۔ (مسلم)
