Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ, عَنْ عُمُومَةٍ لَهُ مِنَ اَلصَّحَابَةِ, { أَنَّ رَكْبًا جَاءُوا, فَشَهِدُوا أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوُا الْهِلَالَ بِالْأَمْسِ, فَأَمَرَهُمْ اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا, وَإِذَا أَصْبَحُوا يَغْدُوا إِلَى مُصَلَّاهُمْ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ -وَهَذَا لَفْظُهُ- وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه أحمد (5/57 و 58)، وأبو داود (1157).
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu 'Umair bin Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) on the authority of some of his paternal uncles who were among the Companions, that some riders came and testified that they had seen the new moon the previous day. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) therefore commanded the people to break the fast and go out to their place of prayer in the morning. .

حضرت ابوعمیر بن انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اپنے چچاؤں سے روایت کرتے ہیں جو صحابہ میں سے تھے، کہ ایک قافلہ آیا اور انہوں نے گواہی دی کہ انہوں نے کل چاند دیکھا ہے، تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو حکم دیا کہ روزے کھول دیں اور کل صبح عیدگاہ جائیں۔ (حضرت ابوداؤد)
