Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ إِذَا اِفْتَتَحَ اَلصَّلَاةَ , وَإِذَا كَبَّرَ لِلرُّكُوعِ , وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ اَلرُّكُوعِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 11 - صحيح . رواه البخاري (735) ، ومسلم (390) .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to raise his hands parallel to his shoulders when he started the prayer (by saying Allahu Akbar), when he uttered the Takbir to bow and when he raised his head from the Ruku' (bowing posture). .
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے ہاتھ کندھوں کے برابر اٹھاتے، اور جب رکوع کے لیے تکبیر کہتے اور جب رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے تو بھی اسی طرح اٹھاتے اور سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فرماتے۔ لیکن سجدوں میں ایسا نہیں کرتے تھے۔
