English Translation
Abu Hujayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I saw that my father purchased a slave who was a cupper. He then broke the cupper's instruments. I asked him why, and he said: 'The Prophet (peace be upon him) prohibited taking the price of a dog and the price of blood (cupping charges). He also prohibited tattooing and being tattooed (i.e., making marks, designs, or writing names on the body with kohl or indigo), and he prohibited taking and giving riba (usury). He cursed the image-maker.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوحجیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے اپنے باپ کو دیکھا کہ انھوں نے ایک غلام خریدا جو پچھنے لگاتا تھا پھر اس کے پچھنے لگانے کے اوزار کو انھوں نے توڑ دیا تو میں نے ان سے (اس کا سبب) پوچھا تو انھوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کتے کی قیمت اور خون کی قیمت لینے سے منع فرمایا ہے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے داغ لگانے والی اور داغ لگوانے والی (یعنی بازو وغیرہ پر سرمے یا نیل کے ساتھ نام لکھنا، لکھوانا یا پھول وغیرہ بنانا، بنوانا) اور سود لینے اور سود دینے سے بھی منع فرمایا ہے اور مصور پر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے لعنت فرمائی ہے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 998]
