English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah the Exalted says: 'All the deeds of the son of Adam are for himself, except fasting — it is for Me, and I shall reward it Myself.'" And at the end of the hadith, he said: "The fasting person has two moments of joy — one when he breaks his fast, he feels joy, and the other when he meets his Lord, he will be overjoyed at the reward of his fasting."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ ابن آدم کے تمام اعمال اسی کے لیے ہوتے ہیں سوائے روزہ کے کہ وہ میرے لیے ہے اور میں خود اس کا بدلہ دوں گا۔“اور (حدیث کے) آخر میں ارشاد فرمایا:”روزہ دار کو دو خوشیاں حاصل ہوتی ہیں ایک اس وقت جب وہ افطار کرتا ہے (تو دلی) خوشی محسوس کرتا ہے اور دوسرے جب وہ اپنے پروردگار سے ملاقات کرے گا تو روزے کا ثواب دیکھ کر خوش ہو گا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 926]
