English Translation
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Islam is built upon five pillars: (1) Testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, (2) Establishing the prayer, (3) Paying the Zakah, (4) Performing the Hajj, and (5) Fasting in Ramadan."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اسلام (کا محل) پانچ (ستونوں) پر بنایا گیا ہے(1)اس بات کی شہادت دینا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے اور اس بات کی گواہی (بھی دینا) کہ محمدصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماللہ کے رسول ہیں(2)نماز پڑھنا(3)زکوٰۃ دینا(4)حج کرنا(5)رمضان کے روزے رکھنا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 8]
