English Translation
Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: These six persons with whom the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was pleased until his death—no one is more deserving of the Caliphate than they, so choose one of them as Caliph. He named: Uthman, Ali, Talhah, Zubayr, Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, and Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with them all).
Urdu Translation
امیرالمؤمنین عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہیہ چھ لوگ جن سے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلموفات تک راضی رہے (ان سے زیادہ خلافت کا حقدار اور کوئی نہیں تو ان ہی میں سے کسی ایک خلیفہ کو چن لینا) پس ان چھ لوگوں کے نام یہ بتائے عثمان، علی، طلحہ، زبیر، عبدالرحمن بن عوف اور سعد بن ابی وقاص (رضی اللہ عنہم)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 700]
