English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "One night I prayed Tahajjud with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he stood for so long that I had a bad thought." He was asked: "What did you think?" He said: "I thought of leaving the Prophet (peace be upon him) standing and sitting down."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے ایک شب نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ہمراہ نماز تہجد پڑھی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبرابر کھڑے رہے یہاں تک کہ میں نے ایک برا ارادہ کیا۔ پوچھا گیا کہ آپ نے کیا ارادہ کیا تھا؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ یہ ارادہ کیا تھا کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو (کھڑا) چھوڑ کر بیٹھ جاؤں۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 600]
