English Translation
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "In the prayers where the Prophet (peace be upon him) was commanded to recite aloud, he recited aloud; and in the prayers where he was commanded to be silent, he remained silent. 'And your Lord is not forgetful' (Quran 19:64). And 'Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example' (Quran 33:21)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو جن نمازوں میں حکم دیا گیا ان میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے قرآت کی اور جن میں حکم دیا گیا ان میں سکوت کیا اور”تمہارا پروردگار بھولنے والا نہیں ہے“(کہ بھولے سے کوئی غلط حکم دیدے۔ سورۃ مریم: 64)”اور بیشک تم لوگوں کے لیے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم(کے افعال و اقوال) میں ایک اچھی پیروی ہے۔“(سورۃ الاحزاب: 21)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 445]
