English Translation
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Banu Salimah wanted to move from their homes to a place near the Prophet (peace be upon him). But the Prophet disliked the idea of Madinah becoming deserted, so he said: 'O Banu Salimah, do you not consider the reward of your footsteps (walking to the mosque)?'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہبنی سلمہ نے یہ چاہا کہ اپنے مکانوں سے اٹھ کر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے قریب کہیں قیام کریں تو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس بات کو برا سمجھا کہ مدینہ کو ویران کر دیں، پس آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اے بنی سلمہ! کیا تم اپنے قدموں (سے چل کر مسجد میں آنے) میں ثواب نہیں سمجھتے؟“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 394]
