English Translation
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "One night, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer. This was before Islam had spread widely. He did not come out until Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'The women and children have fallen asleep.' Then the Prophet came out and said: 'No one on the face of the earth is waiting for this prayer except you.'"
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہایک شب عشاء کی نماز میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے تاخیر کر دی اور یہ (واقعہ) اشاعت اسلام سے پہلے (کا ہے) پس آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنہیں نکلے یہاں تک کہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے (آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے آ کر) کہا کہ عورتیں اور بچے سو رہے، پس آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمباہر تشریف لائے اور فرمایا”زمین والوں میں سوا تمہارے کوئی اس نماز کا منتظر نہیں۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 349]
