English Translation
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: "A man kissed a (non-mahram) woman, then came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and told him about it. Allah the Most High then revealed the verse: 'And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds remove bad deeds' (Hud: 114). The man asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, is this only for me?' The Prophet replied: 'It is for my entire ummah.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہایک شخص نے کسی (اجنبی) عورت کو بوسہ دے دیا پھر وہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس حاضر ہوا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے بیان کیا تو اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے یہ آیت نازل فرما دی:”نماز کو دن کے سروں میں اور کچھ رات گئے قائم کرو بیشک نیکیاں برائیوں کو مٹا دیتی ہیں۔“تو وہ شخص بولا کہ اللہ کے رسول! کیا یہ میرے ہی لیے ہے؟ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ”میری تمام امت کے لیے ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 327]
