English Translation
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that Umm Habibah and Umm Salamah mentioned a church they had seen in Abyssinia that had pictures in it. When they told the Prophet (peace be upon him) about it, he said: "Those people, when a righteous man among them died, would build a place of worship over his grave and put those images in it. These are the worst of creation before Allah on the Day of Resurrection."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہام حبیبہ اور ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ایک گرجا حبشہ میں دیکھا تھا، اس میں تصویریں تھیں۔ تو انھوں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے اس کا ذکر کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”ان لوگوں میں جب کوئی نیک مرد ہوتا اور وہ مر جاتا تو اس کی قبر پر مسجد بنا لیتے اور اس میں یہ تصویریں بنا دیتے۔ یہ لوگ اللہ کے نزدیک قیامت کے دن بدترین مخلوق ہیں۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 271]
