English Translation
Abu Juhaim ibn al-Harith al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) was coming from the direction of Bi'r Jamal. A man met him and greeted him with salam, but the Prophet did not return his greeting until he went to a wall and wiped his face and hands (performing tayammum), and then returned his greeting."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوجہیم بن حارث انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبئر جمل کی طرف سے آئے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ایک شخص (خود ابوجہیم) مل گیا اور اس نے آپ کو سلام کیا تو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اسے جواب نہیں دیا یہاں تک کہ آپ دیوار کی طرف آئے (اس پر ہاتھ مارا)، اپنے منہ اور ہاتھوں پر مسح فرمایا پھر اسے سلام کا جواب دیا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 225]
