English Translation
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the earth will be like a single loaf of bread which Allah the Exalted will turn over in His hand, as one of you turns over his loaf while on a journey. This will be the hospitality for the people of Paradise." (The narrator says:) Then a Jew came and said: "O Abu al-Qasim! May Allah bless you. Shall I not tell you about the hospitality of the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection?" He (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, tell." So he said just as the Prophet (peace be upon him) had said, that the earth (on the Day of Resurrection) will be like a loaf of bread. (The narrator says that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) heard this from him,) he looked at us and laughed until his blessed molar teeth became visible. Then the Jew said: "Shall I not tell you what their side-dish will be? Their side-dish will be balam and nun." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "What are these?" He said: "An ox and a fish." This ox and fish will be so enormous that seventy thousand people of Paradise will eat from the lobe of their livers.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”قیامت کے دن زمین ایک روٹی کی طرح ہو گی جس کو اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے ہاتھ سے الٹے پلٹے گا جس طرح تم میں سے کوئی شخص سفر میں اپنی روٹی الٹتا پلٹتا ہے۔ یہ جنت والوں کی مہمانی کے لیے ہو گا۔“(راوی کہتے ہیں) پھر ایک یہودی حاضر ہوا اور کہنے لگا کہ اے ابوالقاسم! اللہ آپ پر برکت فرمائے کیا میں آپ کو قیامت کے دن اہل جنت کی مہمانی کی خبر نہ دوں؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”ہاں بتاؤ۔“اس نے اسی طرح جس طرح کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرما چکے تھے کہا کہ زمین (قیامت کے دن) ایک روٹی کی طرح ہو گی (راوی کہتے ہیں کہ اس کی یہ بات سن کر) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ہماری طرف دیکھا پھر ہنسے یہاں تک کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دندان مبارک نظر آئے۔ پھر وہ یہودی کہنے لگا کہ کیا میں تمہیں یہ نہ بتاؤں کہ اس کا سالن کیا ہو گا؟ اس کا سالن بالام اور نون ہو گا۔ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے پوچھا کہ یہ کیا چیزیں ہیں؟ اس نے کہا کہ بیل اور مچھلی۔ یہ بیل اور مچھلی اتنے بڑے ہوں گے کہ ان کے کلیجے کا لٹکتا ہوا ٹکڑا، ستر ہزار جنتی کھائیں گے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2120]
