English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you comes to his bed to sleep, let him dust it off, for he does not know what may have crept into the bed after he left it. Then let him recite this supplication: 'My Lord! In Your blessed name I lay down my side upon the bed, and by Your blessed name I shall raise it up (in the future). If You take my soul in this state (that I die), then have mercy upon it; and if You release it, then protect it (from sins) as You protect Your righteous servants.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جب تم میں سے کوئی بستر پر سونے آئے تو اسے جھاڑ لے اس لیے کہ اسے کیا خبر کہ اس کے جانے کے بعد بستر میں کیا گھس گیا ہے اور پھر یہ دعا پڑھے: میرے پروردگار! تیرا مبارک نام لے کر میں اپنا پہلو بستر پر رکھتا ہوں اور تیرا ہی مبارک نام لے کر (آئندہ) اس کو اٹھاؤں گا، اگر تو میری جان اس عالم میں روک رکھے (میں مر جاؤں) تو اس پر رحم فرمانا اور اگر اس کو چھوڑ دے تو اس کو (گناہوں سے) اس طرح بچائے رکھنا جیسے اپنے نیک بندوں کو بچائے رکھتا ہے۔“’[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2076]
