English Translation
Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was in his house scratching his head with a comb (or a pointed instrument), when a man peeped through a hole (in the wall of the house). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Had I known that you were peeping, I would have struck this into your eye. Indeed, the command to seek permission was ordained only so that the gaze not fall (upon what should not be seen)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماپنے گھر میں سلائی سے سر کھجا رہے تھے، ایک شخص نے کسی سوراخ میں سے (جو گھر کی دیوار میں تھا) جھانکا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگر مجھے معلوم ہو جاتا ہے کہ تو جھانک رہا ہے تو میں یہی سلائی تیری آنکھ میں مارتا، ارے بھلے! آدمی پھر اجازت لینے کا حکم کیوں ہوا ہے، اسی لیے تاکہ نظر نہ پڑے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2060]
