English Translation
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): A desert dweller came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! When will the Hour come?" (This hadith has already appeared earlier in the Book of the Virtues and Merits of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)... Chapter: The Virtue of Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)...) Here there is this additional part: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "You will be with whomever you love." We said: "Will we too be (with you) in the same way?" He (peace be upon him) said: "Yes."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک جنگل کا رہنے والا نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ یا رسول اللہ! قیامت کب ہو گی؟ (یہ حدیث پیچھے کتاب: نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے صحابہ کے فضائل مناقب۔۔۔ باب: سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کی فضیلت کا بیان۔۔۔ میں گزر چکی ہے)اور یہاں اس میں اتنا زیادہ ہے کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تو جس سے محبت رکھتا ہے تو اس کے ساتھ ہو گا۔“ہم نے عرض کی کہ کیا ہم بھی اسی طرح (آپ کے ساتھ) ہوں گے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”ہاں۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2049]
