English Translation
Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say aloud: "The children of so-and-so are not among my friends; my friends are only Allah and the righteous believers. But there are ties of kinship with those (people); if they maintain them, I too will maintain them; if they join the bond, I too will join it."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہمیں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے بآواز بلند سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرما رہے تھے:”فلاں شخص کی اولاد میرے دوستوں میں سے نہیں ہے اور میرا دوست تو اللہ اور مومن صالح لوگ ہیں۔ لیکن ان (لوگوں) کے ساتھ رشتہ داری ہے۔ اگر وہ تر رکھیں گے تو میں بھی تر رکھوں گا، وہ ناتا جوڑیں گے تو میں بھی جوڑوں گا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2011]
