English Translation
It is narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) took a silver ring (according to the custom of that era, for applying a seal and the like) and had engraved on it 'Muhammad Rasul Allah' (Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah), and said: "I have taken a silver ring and have had 'Muhammad Rasul Allah' engraved on it; it is not permissible for anyone to have a ring made engraved in the same way."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (اس دور کے رواج کے مطابق مہر وغیرہ لگانے کے لیے) چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی لی اور اس پر محمد رسول اللہ کندہ کرایا اور فرمایا:”میں نے چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی لی ہے اور اس پر محمد رسول اللہ کھدوایا ہے، کسی کو جائز نہیں ہے کہ ایسے ہی کندہ کی ہوئی انگوٹھی بنوائے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1995]
