English Translation
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade that a person outbid another over his bargain, and that a man send a proposal (of marriage) over the proposal of his brother, until the first suitor gives up his engagement or gives permission to the other man who is sending the proposal.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس بات سے منع فرمایا ہے کہ کوئی شخص کسی دوسرے کے بھاؤ پر بھاؤ کرے اور نہ ایک مرد اپنے بھائی کے پیغام (نکاح) پر پیغام بھیجے جب تک کہ پہلا منگیتر اپنی منگنی نہ چھوڑ دے یا پیغام بھیجنے والے دوسرے آدمی کو اجازت دیدے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1851]
