English Translation
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both): A scholar from among the rabbis of the Jews came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said, "O Muhammad! We find written in the Torah that Allah the Exalted will (on the Day of Resurrection) hold all the heavens on one finger, all the earths on one finger, all the trees on one finger, all the water and moist soil on one finger, and all the creatures on one finger, then He will say, 'I am the King.'" Hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) smiled until his teeth became visible, that is, he confirmed the words of that scholar. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recited this verse: "And they did not esteem Allah as He deserves to be esteemed ..." (az-Zumar: 67) (to the end). (In sum, the greatness of Allah is beyond limit; there is no measure of it.)
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہعلماء یہود میں سے ایک عالم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ اے محمد! ہم توریت میں یہ لکھا دیکھتے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ (قیامت کے دن) تمام آسمانوں کو ایک انگلی پر اور تمام زمینوں کو ایک انگلی پر، تمام درختوں کو ایک انگلی پر اور تمام پانی اور گیلی مٹی کو ایک انگلی پر اور تمام مخلوقات کو ایک انگلی پر اٹھا لے گا پھر کہے گا کہ میں ہوں بادشاہ۔ یہ سن کر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممسکرائے یہاں تک کہ دانت ظاہر ہو گئے۔ یعنی اس عالم کے کلام کی تصدیق کی، پھر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے یہ آیت”اور انھوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی قدر جیسی کرنا چاہیے تھی، نہیں کی ....۔“(الزمر: 67) (آخر تک) تلاوت فرمائی (الحاصل یعنی اللہ کی قدر بےحد ہے اس کا کچھ اندازہ نہیں)[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1770]
