English Translation
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both): No one has greater sense of honour (ghayrah) than Allah, and for that reason He has forbidden all indecencies, both outward and inward; and nothing is more beloved to Allah than praise, and for that reason He has praised Himself (and taught us to do so).
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہاللہ سے بڑھ کر غیرت مند کوئی نہیں، اسی لیے اس نے ظاہری اور باطنی سب فحش باتوں کو حرام کیا اور اللہ کے نزدیک تعریف سے زیادہ کوئی چیز مرغوب نہیں، اسی لیے اس نے اپنی تعریف خود کی (اور ہمیں اس کی تعلیم دی)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1743]
