English Translation
Narrated Usaid bin Hudair (may Allah be pleased with him): A man from the Ansar said: "O Messenger of Allah, will you not appoint me as a governor like you appointed so-and-so?" The Prophet said: "After me, you will see others given preference over you. Be patient until you meet me at the Pool of Kawthar."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہانصار میں سے ایک آدمی نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! آپ مجھے حکومت نہیں دیتے جیسے فلاں شخص کو آپ نے حکومت دی ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تم میرے بعد اپنے ساتھ حق تلفی دیکھو گے تو صبر کیے رہنا یہاں تک کہ تم (روز قیامت) مجھ سے حوض کوثر پر ملو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1562]
