English Translation
Narrated Al-Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him): A man was reciting Surah Al-Kahf, and he had a horse tied in his house which began to bolt. He concluded his prayer with the salam and saw a cloud covering the entire house. He mentioned this to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "O so-and-so! Continue reciting, for that was tranquility (sakinah) which descended due to the recitation of the Quran."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہایک شخص نے سورۃ الکہف پڑھی، ان کے گھر میں گھوڑا بندھا ہوا تھا جو بدکنے لگا تو انھوں نے سلام پھیرا (کیونکہ وہ نماز میں تلاوت کر رہے تھے) کیا دیکھتے ہیں کہ ابر ہے جو سارے گھر میں چھا گیا ہے۔ اس نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے اس کا ذکر کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اے فلاں! تو قرآن پڑھتا رہ۔ یہ سکینت ہے جو قرآن پڑھنے کی وجہ سے اتری۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1510]
