English Translation
Wathilah ibn al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Among the greatest lies is for a man to claim a father other than his own, or to claim to have seen in a dream what he did not see, or to attribute to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) something he did not say."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا واثلہ بن الاسقع رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”بڑا بہتان (اور سخت جھوٹ) یہ ہے کہ آدمی اپنے باپ کے سوا اور کسی کو اپنا باپ کہے یا وہ بات کہے جو اس کی آنکھ نے خواب میں نہیں دیکھی یا اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر وہ (جھوٹی) بات لگائے جو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نہیں فرمائی۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1462]
