English Translation
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! We have slaughtered a young goat and ground a sa' of barley, so please come with a few of your Companions." The Prophet (peace be upon him) called out loudly: "O people of the Trench! Jabir has prepared food for you, so come along!" And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me: "Do not remove your pot from the fire and do not bake your bread until I come." The food was blessed and all the people ate.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے (ایک مرتبہ) عرض کی کہیا رسول اللہ! ہم نے بکری کا ایک چھوٹا بچہ ذبح کیا ہے۔ اور ایک صاع جو کا آٹا پیسا ہے لہٰذا آپ چند صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ تشریف لے چلیے۔ پس نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بلند آواز سے فرمایا:”اے اہل خندق جابر (رضی اللہ عنہ) نے تمہارے لیے کچھ کھانا تیار کیا ہے لہٰذا جلدی سے چلو۔“(لفظ”سورًا“فارسی ہے یہیں سے ترجمہ باب نکلتا ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1310]
