English Translation
Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked permission to go for Jihad. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "Are your parents alive?" He said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Then strive in their service (for that is your Jihad)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہایک شخص نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور اس نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے جہاد کی اجازت مانگی۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرمایا:”کیا تیرے والدین زندہ ہیں؟“اس نے کہا جی ہاں تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تو انھیں (کی خدمت) میں کوشش کر۔ (کیونکہ وہ بوڑھے اور بےسہارا تھے)“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1288]
