English Translation
Ya'la ibn Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had hired a man, and he got into a fight with another man. One of them bit the other's hand. The other pulled his hand from his mouth, and his front teeth fell out. He came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), but the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not grant him any compensation for the teeth, saying: "Did you expect him to put his hand in your mouth for you to chew on it like a stallion chews?"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا یعلیٰ بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے ایک شخص کو اجرت پر رکھا تھا، اس نے ایک شخص سے لڑائی کی۔ ایک نے دوسرے کا ہاتھ منہ سے کاٹ لیا۔ دوسرے نے اپنا ہاتھ اس کے منہ سے کھینچا اور اس کے آگے کے دانت گر گئے۔ پھر وہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس کو دانتوں کا معاوضہ نہیں دلایا اور فرمایا:”کیا وہ اپنا ہاتھ تیرے منہ میں رہنے دیتا تاکہ تو اس کو چبا جاتا، جس طرح اونٹ سبزے کو چبا جاتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1277]
