English Translation
Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The wealth of Banu al-Nadir was among those properties that Allah bestowed upon His Messenger (peace be upon him) without any fighting. The Muslims had not spurred their horses or camels for it, meaning no battle took place. So it belonged exclusively to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He would take from it the annual expenses for his family, and whatever remained, he would spend in the cause of preparing arms and horses for jihad in the way of Allah."
Urdu Translation
امیرالمؤمنین عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہبنی نضیر کے اموال اس قسم میں تھے جو اللہ نے اپنے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو بغیر جنگ کے دلا دیے تھے۔ مسلمانوں نے اس پر گھوڑے اور سوار نہ دوڑائے تھے یعنی جنگ کی نوبت نہ آئی تھی۔ پس وہ مال خاص کر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے لے لیا اور اس میں سے ایک سال کا خرچ اپنے گھر والوں کو دے دیتے تھے، سال کے بعد جو باقی رہتا تھا اس کو ہتھیار میں اور گھوڑوں میں اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرنے کے لیے خرچ کرتے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1254]
