حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ التَّأْذِينَ الثَّانِيَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَمَرَ بِهِ عُثْمَانُ حِينَ كَثُرَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ، وَكَانَ التَّأْذِينُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ حِينَ يَجْلِسُ الإِمَامُ.
English Translation
Hadrat al-Sa'ib bin Yazid (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the second Adhan on the day of Jumu'ah was ordered by Hadrat Uthman (may Allah be well pleased with him) when the congregation in the mosque increased, and the Adhan on the day of Jumu'ah used to be when the Imam sat (on the pulpit).
Urdu Translation
حضرت سائب بن یزید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جمعے کے دن دوسری اذان کا حکم حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے دیا جب اہلِ مسجد زیادہ ہو گئے، اور جمعے کے دن اذان اس وقت ہوتی تھی جب امام (منبر پر) بیٹھ جاتے۔
